Sick Gazelle - Veld (2026) [Hi-Res]

The second album by Chicago underground outfit Sick Gazelle, titled Veld, marks an evolution of their improvisational style into more structured song forms. Joining founding members Eric Block, Bruce Lamont, and drummer Steve Shelley is bassist Douglas McCombs of Tortoise. The album's five tracks, crafted at the intersection of cosmic jams, cinematic sound design, and rock, blend elements of melancholy, foreboding tension, dissonant guitars, and dubby grooves, while fully preserving the live synergy of the quartet.
