From The Edge, conceived by Richard Bundy and Anna Phoebe as part of the "Dover Unlocked" project, is a musical exploration of historic sites in Dover. The composers leveraged the unique acoustic properties of locations such as the Grand Shaft and Fort Burgoyne to integrate their spaces and atmosphere into the compositions. The musical material blends neo-classical structures, electronic textures, jazz rhythms, and live recordings of chamber ensembles. The project reimagines the history of the coastal town, transforming architectural landmarks into active participants in the creative process.
