"In Parallel" (2009) is a collaborative, semi-acoustic live album by two iconic figures of the European independent and melancholic rock scene: Dutch vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen (formerly of the cult band The Gathering, who was then performing with her project Agua de Annique) and British multi-instrumentalist Danny Cavanagh (lead composer and guitarist of the atmospheric progressive rockers Anathema).
