"I Don't Love My Guru Anymore" (1993) is the debut solo studio album by American musician, producer, and songwriter Kristian Hoffman. Hoffman was previously a prominent figure in the New York underground scene of the late 1970s and 1980s: he played keyboards in the punk rock/power pop band Mumps, participated in the No Wave movement (as a member of James White and the Blacks), and served as musical director for the legendary avant-garde artist Klaus Nomi.

The album was released in 1993 by the independent label Eggbert Records. The record was produced by the renowned Earle Mankey, known for his work with The Beach Boys, Sparks, and The Runaways.

The record combines graceful, almost baroque melodies with caustic, witty lyrics. Instrumentally, in addition to Hoffman's standard guitars and keyboards, one can hear mandolin and accordion. The album opens a more personal, mature chapter in the musician's work, moving away from cabaret punk or harsh new wave toward intelligent, sophisticated pop music for adults (Chamber Pop/Sophisti-pop elements would become even more prominent in his subsequent works).

Hoffman himself later released the archival collection "Guru Home Demos," featuring the original, stripped-down acoustic versions of these songs, recorded in his home studio.
