The Nantes-based quartet defines its style as rock-wave, a musical approach all its own, a kind of amalgamation between hard rock and gothic rock, resulting in a rather dark sound! Let's start with the title track of this album, which initially offers a wave of vintage or seventies nostalgia, with hard rock indeed tinged by past decades, featuring clean vocals. It's an accessible rock/hard rock, where the riffs remain well-crafted, giving the sound a rock, even pop, feel. Moreover, more acoustic, even folk-like moments reinforce the pop side of their music, which also knows how to be energetic, with a nice guitar solo. Close to classic rock, and therefore classic hard rock, the style of our friends from Nantes will, I think, appeal to a wide audience. Further on, we discover a purring bass, a pleasure to hear, supporting deeper vocals, still retaining that seventies flavor. The first excerpt, sung in French, takes us back to familiar eighties chords, reminding me of certain figures from the New-wave, gothic and Cold-Wave scene (The Sound, Joy Division…):
