Western Grey - After Hours II (2026) [Hi-Res]

The album After Hours II is an archival recording of an improvised performance by Philip Samartzis, Sean Baxter, and David Brown, captured in Melbourne's empty West Space gallery in 2006 and remastered in 2025. Utilizing electro-acoustic instruments, percussion, found objects, and field recordings, the musicians explored the building's unique acoustics, engaging with its concrete walls and elevator shaft. The work is built on the concept of sound interacting with an enclosed environment, where room tones, drone frequencies, and electrical hums become integral elements of a contemplative sonic landscape.
