Composers Abul Mogard and Rafael Anton Irisarri have created their second collaborative album, Where Light Pauses in the Silence of the Sun. The core material was developed during a live, stageless residency at Berlin's Morphine Raum using modular synthesizers, Leslie rotary speakers, and bowed guitar. The final studio arrangement integrated remote post-production across Rome and New York, alongside contributions from cellist Martina Bertoni and violinist/vocalist Andrea Burelli. Sonically balancing restraint and maximalism, the record blends dense low-frequency drones, melancholic classical strings, and cinematic ambient spaces. This shifts the duo's aesthetic from immediate, raw experimentation toward a refined, permanent monumentality, visually mirrored by Marja de Sanctis' transformed cover artwork.
