Atom String Quartet has released the album Atom Goes Funky, marking the 91st release in the legendary Polish Jazz series and the first-ever album by a string quartet in its history. The release features entirely acoustic funk interpretations of Polish jazz and rock classics originally composed by Zbigniew Namysłowski, Janusz Muniak, and Michał Urbaniak, as well as the bands Kombi and Perfect. Recorded by Michał Bereza at Studio S4 Polskiego Radia, the album captures the nostalgic atmosphere of 1970s Warsaw and is issued on an audiophile hybrid SACD format.
