Aaron MF Olson - Songs Album II (2026)

Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist and composer Aaron MF Olson has released his second solo pop-folk-rock LP, Songs Album II, via the Country Thyme Records label. Drawing from a diverse musical background that spans "Baywatch Krautrock" with LA Takedown, Grateful Dead covers with Richard Pictures, film scoring, and synth-led experiments, Olson focuses his solo output on light, melodic songs with widescreen arrangements. The album features a large cast of guest musicians contributing woodwinds, brass, and vocal harmonies. Much like his debut song-based effort, this record was conceived in a post-fever creative fervor following a bout with COVID-19, with several musical passages directly inspired by the author's dreams. The resulting album is a deeply personal, eclectic, yet highly accessible collection that balances satire, confessional lyricism, and soft-focus psychedelia.
