Myer U Clark - Tinderbox (2026)

Bristol-based indie-folk artist Myer U Clark is releasing his debut solo album "Tinderbox" via the underground folk label Broadside Hacks Recordings. The core of the release is built around the artist's self-coined concept of "musical jank," which merges intentional performance imperfections, 1980s homespun indie guitar aesthetics reminiscent of The Go-Betweens, and structural elements of traditional English folk and Delta blues. Produced by Jack Ogborne, the record explores bittersweet, cinematic, and deeply intimate narratives. Clark's background in the art-rock quartet The Scuttlers and his touring history alongside Naima Bock and Sorry place this album at the cross section of acoustic folk tradition and experimental art-school sensibilities.
