The project Nein Flower, formed by musicians and visual artists Nein Rodere (David Roeder) and Nowhere Flower (Lila Jarzombek), has released a debut tape recording rooted in wyrd folk and outsider music. Drawing inspiration from artists like Christina Carter, Sun City Girls, The Shadow Ring, Jandek, as well as the work of Graham Lambkin and Charalambides, the duo bridges the punkish isolation of Berlin with the lo-fi introspection of Providence. The album relies on spontaneous, improvisational back-and-forth, naive art principles, surreal spoken-word narrations, and raw analog tracking. This approach places their sound on an unusual artistic plane that balances early home-recording aesthetics, nostalgia, and avant-garde innovation.
