Victoria Mingot - God Spill (2026)

Danish sound artist Victoria Mingot has released a predominantly instrumental album titled God Spill via the 5 Gate Temple label. Rooted in a lowercase and minimalist aesthetic, the record is built upon quiet, plaintive acoustic guitar strums and rare, atmospheric vocals. The dictaphone-like quality of the recordings imbues the material with an eerie, notebook-like intimacy. Drawing heavily from Copenhagen’s solitary singer-songwriter tradition as well as the shared lineage of Joanne Robertson, Loren Connors, and Graham Lambkin, Mingot expertly balances unshowy instrumental economy with avant-garde lo-fi textures and mournful raga meditations.
