Panamanian jazz artist Anggie Obin presents her new live album Luz, recorded during the 13th edition of the Estival de Jazz d’Igualada festival. The record blends her traditional Panamanian heritage with contemporary Latin American jazz elements, seamlessly bridging the gap between tradition and modernity. The meticulously crafted vinyl release features original cover artwork designed by Fátima Tocornal.

Panamanian flutist and composer Anggie Obin completed her classical training at the National Conservatory of Music of Panama before transitioning to jazz studies at the Danilo Pérez Foundation under the mentorship of Carlos Garnett. After securing a full scholarship to the Berklee College of Music, she began collaborating with internationally acclaimed artists. Her relocation to New York City in 2017 further established her presence in the US jazz scene through performances with bassist Santi Debriano at iconic venues. Her extensive portfolio includes collaborations and stage sharing with renowned figures such as Ruben Blades, Danilo Pérez, George Garzone, and Peter Erskine.
