Konformer - Konformer (2023)

The Nuremberg-based German trio Konformer, consisting of Andreas Berg, Kristian Krauay, and Rainer Ruder, has released an ambitious debut EP on Jason Boardman's Before I Die label. Strikingly contradicting their name, the band delivers an expansive, atmospheric, and cinematic sound across five extended instrumental tracks driven by motorik guitar rhythms and heavy synthesizers. Produced by Frank Mollena, the record maintains his signature front-and-center driving basslines, reminiscent of his previous production work for Mountaineer and Smith and Mudd. The immersive collection is currently available digitally and on vinyl.
