The self-titled debut album by the quartet Ondanaconda, featuring Laurent Bruttin, Antoine Läng, John Menoud, and Daniel Zea, is a radical electroacoustic experiment. The jaw harp serves as the record's sole sound source, amplified and prepared to function as bass, drone, percussion, and a mouth synthesizer. The compositions are built on improvisation, hypnotic repetitions, and psychoacoustic effects, blurring the boundaries between a traditional concert, collective ritual trance, and a sound installation.
