JSPHYNX - Hold On (2026) [Hi-Res]

Trumpeter JSPHYNX releases his five-track EP 'HOLD ON' via Sekito Records, expanding his signature sound situated at the intersection of UK jazz and bass music. The project features collaborations with vocalist Tarju, drummer Nathan Shingler, and Mumbai-based composer Anuraag Dhoundeyal, whose contribution to 'Cash 4 Gold' incorporates Indian classical raaga and traditional jungle sampling aesthetics. The musical palette ranges from dark, driving bass energy and improvisational jungle-tinged breakbeats to moments of lyrical calm. Inspired by the nightlife of Birmingham and London as well as diasporic identity, the EP finds its emotional centerpiece in the title track, a deeply personal tribute dedicated to the artist's late father.
