"Quetzalcoatl" is the fourth full-length studio album by the British band The Tirith, released on July 3, 2026.

The band's musicians began their journey in the 1970s (then known as Minas Tirith), but after a thirty-year hiatus, they reunited and are now experiencing a vibrant second youth, regularly performing at major British progressive festivals like the Cambridge Rock Festival and HRH Prog.

"Quetzalcoatl" is a large-scale, conceptual work, clocking in at over 70 minutes. The band doesn't pursue superficial displays of technical speed, but rather emphasizes atmosphere, storytelling, and the leisurely development of their compositions, which feature both epic symphonic sweeps and intimate acoustic moments.

The sound is shaped by the synergy of four members: the classic founding duo of Tim Cox (guitar) and Dick Corey (bass, vocals), plus drummer Paul Williams, who returned in 2020, and keyboardist Anthony Hill, who joined in 2022. Hill's synthesizers and Mellotron structures add density and vintage charm to the band, in the vein of Yes, Genesis, and Pink Floyd.
