The album "Silver Searchers" by the legendary British band The Searchers is a massive anniversary collection of their greatest hits and iconic recordings, released in 1987 by PRT Records in the UK.

The release, on double vinyl (2xLP), audio cassette, and CD, was timed to coincide with the silver jubilee (25 years) of the band, which formed in Liverpool and became one of the leading forces of the so-called "Merseybeat" and the British Invasion of the 1960s.

The Searchers have always stood out among their contemporaries for their incredibly pure and sweet vocal polyphony, as well as their ability to transform American R&B, country, and folk compositions into refined pop-rock masterpieces (for example, their poignant cover of Malvina Reynolds' anti-war folk song "What Have They Done To The Rain," also featured on this collection).
