"313" is the fourth studio album by American multi-instrumentalist Phideaux Xavier and his eponymous project, Phideaux. Although work on the album began in March 2004, it was finally completed and released in March 2006 (although some catalogs list the album as late 2005 due to session confusion).

The album has a unique concept of "embryonic" creation. The title "313" directly references the date March 13 (3/13).

On March 13, 2004, Phideaux Xavier assembled his team of musicians in a Pasadena studio for a completely unrehearsed session. The idea was to write and record the album in a single day. During those 24 hours, the band drafted 13 rough tracks. Phideaux found the result too chaotic, so the material was shelved, switching to recording Chupacabras (2005). Only later did Xavier and producer Gabriel Moffat carefully polish, re-record, and mix these tracks using ProTools, preserving their spontaneous and slightly wild energy.

The album "313" serves as an excellent entry point into Phideaux's discography—it's a lighter, faster listen than their extensive trilogies, yet fully reveals the band's eccentric and melodic talent.
