Evan Taylor - Exactly This (2026) [Hi-Res]

Evan Taylor, an emerging contemporary jazz trumpeter, is releasing his debut album "Exactly This" on the MBF Entertainment label. The album, created in collaboration with producer Adam Hawley, blends jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul, and contemporary pop—music that defines his current artistic identity.
The project launches alongside the single "Skate On" featuring legendary saxophonist Dave Koz, who has served as both a mentor and key supporter in Taylor's career. The ten-track album chronicles his creative journey, ranging from reflections on faith and transformation ("Blue Dreams", "Shift") to experiments with the future sound of contemporary jazz ("Scarlet Flow", "Turn It Up").
The album features notable guest appearances, including saxophonist Richard Elliot and keyboardist Olí Silk. The closing track "Shining"—previously released as a single—reached number one in Spain and Latin America, symbolizing Taylor's full embrace of a new chapter in his career.
Taylor grew up playing trumpet in church and later studied at Michigan State University, earning a master's degree in jazz from the University of Utah. Working with Indiana University Soul Revue, he has collaborated with renowned artists including Gloria Estefan, Kirk Whalum, and Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, while also creating music for major platforms such as Netflix, HGTV, and BET.
The album's title "Exactly This" reflects Taylor's philosophy: not a pursuit of perfection or long-term vision, but rather an offering to the world of music that expresses who he is in this moment—the result of his life's journey, growth, and redemption.
