The album's title translates as "Operettas in the Mirror" (or "Operettas in Reflection"). The album's concept perfectly reflects this title: Francesco Anselmo took the most famous, timeless arias and themes from classical European operettas of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and presented them in a "new mirror"—in contemporary pop, jazz, and lounge arrangements from the mid-1970s.

In Anselmo's hands, the pompous theatrical scores of Franz Lehár, Imre Kálmán, Jacques Offenbach, and Ralph Benatzky are transformed into refined, light instrumental music. The orchestra skillfully combines a classical string section with a rhythm section, soft brass, delicate piano passages, and vintage organ parts.

Thanks to Phase 6 sound technology, the album offers the listener a deep immersion and a spacious soundstage, making this release a shining example of Italian instrumental pop of the 70s.
