Australian rock band Asteroid B612 returns after 25 years with their new album "Roads, Stars," marking their first release since the 1990s. The project reunites core members—guitarist and songwriter Johnny Casino, vocalist Grant McIver, and drummer Ben Fox (with the band since 1993)—alongside new members guitarist Xabi Garre and bassist Juancho Lopez.
The band's reunion came unexpectedly following a successful Spanish tour in 2022. Johnny Casino and Grant McIver co-wrote ten new songs, maintaining the group's signature sound while bringing fresh energy. The recording happened quickly: during Johnny Casino's visit to Australia, the core trio laid down basic tracks in just three days before the project moved to Spain, where the new members added their contributions.
Mixed by Pepe Gomar and mastered by Mike Mariconda (known for work with Raunch Hands, Devil Dogs, and New Bomb Turks), "Roads, Stars" delivers confident, energetic rock-and-roll that honors the band's roots while sounding contemporary and vital.
