Tyler Sabbag - Novella (2026) [Hi-Res]

Tyler Sabbag, an Emmy-winning composer, unveils his debut EP Novella, a six-track musical journey lasting sixteen minutes. The album evokes a dreamy Mediterranean summer coast, suffused with nostalgia rather than historical precision. Novella defies genre classification, seamlessly blending cinematic music, jazz, orchestral arrangements, experimental soundscapes, and rich percussion. The project's central vision is to pursue beauty and foster emotional connection with listeners through layered, intricate compositions.
To achieve its lush sonic palette, Sabbag collaborated with an accomplished ensemble: strings from Stockholm Studio Orchestra, harpist Laura Somogyi, saxophonist and woodwind player Ted Taforo, brass section led by Dave Nelson, percussionist Tommy Kesecker (on vibraphone and marimba), and guitarists Duncan Thum and Jimmy Dee. Sabbag himself contributed extensively to drums and percussion.
Recorded across multiple locations in 2024—Joshua Tree (California), Stockholm (Sweden), Altadena (California), and New York (USA)—the EP was mixed by Sabbag in Joshua Tree and mastered by engineer Jett Galindo in Los Angeles.
