How do you create your own musical style? If you're three-time EMMY nominated Patsy Meyer, you blend soulful vocals with a vibrant stage persona...then mix it with your own brand of Latin/world percussion, and you have something unique and completely personal. The blend is working for Patsy...WLOQ in Orlando says Patsy has a 'familiar yet new sound....a great combination.' Checkin' the Charts says, 'this new artist is a real find'. The Louisville Music News says, 'she could sing the telephone directory and make it sound lovely'. Patsy released her debut CD, Don't Stop Now in 1998 to critical acclaim and terrific radio reception. Her second release, Hands Down, is in production and in addition to her distinctive voice and percussion, will include such notable musicians as Grant Geissman, Jeff Kashiwa, and Greg Karrukas. Patsy also recently made her national T.V. debut, appearing on NBC's Passions as nightclub singer Lola, performing her own 'I've Been Here Before'. Patsy has three EMMY nominations for songs she co-penned for television and has had over 50 songs from her catalog used in film and TV. Ms. Meyer's credits include headlining or co-billing at numerous jazz festivals, concerts and clubs throughout the country. She has appeared with, or opened for, such artists as Chuck Mangione, Kirk Whalum, The Rippingtons, Spyro Gyra, Lisa Loeb, Ken Navarro, Cheap Trick, Marilyn Scott, Ambrosia, Jeff Kashiwa, Bill Cunliffe, Warren Hill, Kenny Rankin, and many others. Before moving to LA, Patsy established herself as the leading contemporary jazz vocalist in the Cincinnati area, developing a loyal audience in the mid-west. The Cincinnati Post called her 'the finest female voice in the territory.' She ignited the stages of prestigious jazz clubs like Gilly's in Dayton, The Blue Wisp in Cincinnati, The Coach House in Lexington. Ms. Meyer now resides in Los Angeles where she performs regularly, writes songs for television and film, and is currently recording her second CD. She also takes time out to tour with other artists featuring both her vocal and percussion skills.
