Kefaya, Elaha Soroor - Our Freedoms Must Be Won (2026) [Hi-Res]

British collective Kefaya — Giuliano Modarelli, Al MacSween, and Joost Hendrickx — together with Hazara singer Elaha Soroor, the first Hazara woman to perform on Afghan television, have released their most ambitious and urgent statement yet. The music is built on polyrhythms, synthesiser textures, and trance-inducing grooves, fusing something ancient with something sharply contemporary — music made for bodies moving together. The record confronts war, displacement, and mass violence head-on, framing them not as accidents but as deliberate tools of power. Yet the album doesn't stop at documenting tragedy: it insists on the possibility of collective resistance, survival, and shared responsibility for what is happening.
