Tarkus - Tarkus 2 (2008)

"Tarkus 2" (2008) is the second studio album by the Argentine-Peruvian heavy psychedelic band Tarkus, released 36 years after their iconic 1972 debut.

In 1972, Tarkus became one of the first bands in South America to play uncompromising heavy metal and psychedelic hard rock, but disbanded immediately after the release of their debut album. In the 2000s, vocalist and bassist Alex Nathanson, along with original drummer Walo Carrillo and Argentine guitarist Christian Van Lacke, decided to reunite the band and record an album of both unreleased and new material.

The result was self-released in a limited edition in 2008 under the logical title "Tarkus 2", preserving the authentic spirit of 1970s South American heavy rock.
