"Luctor Et Emergo" is the third studio album by the Dutch band Lesoir, released in November 2014 via V2 Records. The album's title translates from Latin as "I fight and I conquer" (the official motto of the Dutch province of Zeeland).
The album is built on sharp contrasts: from a quiet, atmospheric sound with delicate female vocals and flute to heavy, dynamic guitar riffs and powerful alternative explosions.
For the recording and production of the album, the band once again collaborated with renowned British producer John Cornfield, who has previously worked with Muse, Supergrass, Karnivool, and The Stone Roses. This gave the album a dense sound and a modern, "British" alternative edge.
