Little Atlas - Hollow (2007)

"Hollow" is the third full-length album by American progressive rock band Little Atlas, released in 2007 on 10T Records.

Compared to their previous album, Wanderlust (2005), "Hollow" is a more moody, emotional, and atmospheric album. The album's lyrics and concept explore themes of inner emptiness, paranoia, isolation, and the psychological struggles of the human mind.

Musically, the album combines compact, song-oriented compositions with expansive, multi-layered epics (such as the 10-minute track "Silence"). The band makes extensive use of frequent changes in samples, time signatures, and dynamics.

The album's hallmarks are Steve Katsikas's virtuoso keyboard work (using synthesizers, organ, and saxophone) and Roy Strattman's dense guitar work, supported by a strong and inventive rhythm section.
