Jackson Heights - Attention! Jackson Heights! (1976)

"Attention! Jackson Heights!" is a compilation album by the British folk and progressive rock band Jackson Heights, released in 1976 in Germany by the Fontana label as part of the popular budget "Attention!" reissue series.

Jackson Heights was founded by bassist and vocalist Lee Jackson immediately after the initial breakup of the legendary prog band The Nice (which also featured Keith Emerson).

The compilation features the best and most distinctive tracks from the band's early 1970s albums (primarily "King Progress" in 1970 and "Fifth Avenue Bus" in 1972).

In contrast to the heavy, keyboard-driven sound of The Nice, Jackson Heights focused on a softer, acoustic, and melodic approach. The music blends elements of progressive rock, British folk, and acoustic art rock, using string arrangements, 12-string guitars, Mellotron, and Lee Jackson's expressive vocals.
