"Postcards from the British Empire" (2013) is a deluxe compilation and retrospective by the British band Phenomenal Cat, named after the song of the same name by the legendary band The Kinks.

The music on this release is a stylized homage to the golden era of British psychedelia of the late 1960s (in the vein of The Kinks, early Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, The Beatles, and The Zombies). The sound is anchored by vintage keyboards (Mellotron, Hammond organ), signature sound effects (tape echo, phaser), crisp 12-string guitars, and vibrant harmony vocals.

"Postcards from the British Empire" brings together key tracks, rare recordings, and conceptual compositions inspired by British folklore, surrealism, and the aesthetics of the 1960s.
