Jim Reeves - A Touch of Velvet (Expanded Edition) (1962)

In 1962, American country singer Jim Reeves released the studio album A Touch of Velvet on the RCA Victor label. Produced by Chet Atkins and featuring backing vocals by the Anita Kerr Singers, the record became a significant milestone in the artist's career. The centerpiece of the album was the track "Welcome to My World," which reached No. 2 on the country charts. The release gained high professional acclaim: in Billboard magazine's annual country music disc jockey poll, A Touch of Velvet was ranked among the top five country LPs of the year.
