Tönky Hönk - Tönky Hönk (2026) [Hi-Res]

Manitoban keyboard duo Tönky Hönk, comprising pianists Madeline Hildebrand and Everett Hopfner, released their debut project The ËP, featuring three compositions by Adrian Knight, Phyllis Chen, and Julian Beutel. With established solo careers and a strong foundation in new music, avant-garde, and contemporary classical music, the performers redefine traditional pianism. Throughout their recording process and live shows, Tönky Hönk blend conventional and prepared grand pianos with Fender Rhodes electric pianos, toy pianos, stylophones, melodicas, steel bowls, and MIDI controllers configured with microtonal filters. The musical project actively collaborates with festivals and creative residencies, encouraging composers to push the acoustic boundaries of the piano.
