Growing up, I didn’t just hear these songs — I lived with them. They drifted through our home late at night, echoed from studio speakers, and were shaped and reshaped at the kitchen table. To the world, he was Jon English — performer, songwriter, storyteller. To me, he was Dad: endlessly curious, fiercely passionate, always chasing the next melody.

This collection uncovers the hidden corners of his musical life — demos, B-sides, rare recordings, collaborations and electric live moments that reveal the craftsman behind the spotlight. You can hear ideas taking flight, the humour and grit in lesser-known tracks, and the restless creativity that fuelled him.

Although remastered with care, some recordings retain the character and imperfections of their original sources. We hope you enjoy them as they were meant to be heard...honest, raw and real.
