Australian musical group The Distant South has released their second full-length studio album, Map of My Life. The new record marks a significant evolution in the band's trajectory, showcasing refined songwriting, stylistic growth, and enhanced musical performance. While remaining firmly anchored in traditional country, the project broadens its sonic foundation by seamlessly blending elements of blues, soul, and rock. Recorded at Rolling Stock Recording Rooms by Myles Mumford and mastered by Rick O’Neil, the album features guest contributions from Kylie Auldist, Gretta Ziller, Tim Neal, Ben Franz, and Jack Meredith.
