Aldana Duoraan, Tomáš Niesner - Plot (2026) [Hi-Res]

The collaborative album Plot by Czech guitarist Tomáš Niesner and khomus player Aldana Duoraan is a meditative interplay of American primitive guitar, Sakha traditional music, folk, and drone. Having first met in 2021 through the Konektiv project and solidified their partnership with a showcase at Cafe OTO, the musicians built their sound on a dialogue between the Sakha jaw harp and pentatonic guitar phrasing. The album's structure and track titles draw from the philosophy of the ancient Chinese text I Ching (Book of Changes), with each piece reflecting fundamental states ranging from radiance to nearing. Released on the Slovak experimental label mappa, the album intentionally leaves its compositions open-ended and fluid, capturing core concepts that continue to evolve during live performances.
