The American independent label Jalyn Records, established in Dayton, Ohio, by legend Jack Lynch, resumes operations by opening its 1960s and 1970s archival catalog. Originating from a modest apartment studio on Brown Street, the label became a crucial hub for recording bluegrass, traditional country, and Christian gospel, bringing together local musicians alongside genre icons like Ralph Stanley and Don Reno. As part of its debut CD reissue series, the label presents archival recordings by The Gospel Meltones, whose work is defined by bright vocal harmonies, precise delivery, and deep spiritual themes. All historical master tapes underwent modern remastering while preserving the authentic character of the original analog sessions.
