Jon Madof Trio - Netzach (2026)

Guitarist and composer Jon Madof returns to John Zorn’s Tzadik Records with Netzach, the debut release from the Jon Madof Trio, arriving August 14. A longtime force in New York’s Downtown and Radical Jewish Culture scenes, Madof has spent more than two decades forging a singular musical language that merges Jewish music, jazz improvisation, avant-garde experimentation, surf rock twang, punk energy, and metal intensity into something unmistakably his own. With the Jon Madof Trio, he revisits the stripped-down power of the guitar trio while pushing his music into new territory. Zorn writes that Netzach features “a heavier sound and a more orchestral production,” with “lyrical compositions [that] provide a perfect springboard for Madof’s brilliant guitar pyrotechnics,” calling it “modern Jewish music at its raging best.” Founder of the acclaimed bands Rashanim and Zion80, Madof is joined by Yoshie Fruchter on bass and Nate Rappaport on drums.
