The Vernons - Strike Out Again (2026) [Hi-Res]

Gold Coast rock outfit THE VERNONS has released their new album STRIKE OUT AGAIN, marking their first full-length record in three years. Tracked in Brisbane with producer and engineer Matt Stewart, the nine-song release developed from initial home demos that were not originally intended for an album, allowing the material to retain a sense of raw energy and spontaneity. The album roll-out was preceded by the singles Don’t Give A Damn If You Don’t Believe Me and Nightmare.

During the recording process, THE VERNONS deliberately avoided over-production, endless takes, and heavy studio effects. Key tracks such as Please Don’t Stop It and I’ll Be Gone were captured via live performances together in a single room to recreate the authentic feel of a jam session. Musically rooted in rock and roll, indie rock, and alternative rock, the album reflects the band's songwriting maturity. Over a decade-long career, the group has accumulated over 13 million streams, established a reputation as one of Queensland's premier live acts, and shared stages with artists including The Rubens, The Jungle Giants, and Gang of Youths.
