Prism Quartet - Generate Music (2026) [Hi-Res]

The PRISM Quartet is releasing a project titled GENERATE MUSIC on August 14, 2026, to explore the historical and cultural connections between African American and Jewish communities. This initiative marks the ensemble's 40th anniversary and blends traditions of chamber music, jazz, and klezmer. The centerpiece is a composition by Fred Wesley and Ursula Rucker, dedicated to the activists murdered during the 1964 "Freedom Summer." A diverse collective of musicians, including David Krakauer and Tyshawn Sorey, participated in this work aimed at combating systemic racism. The group will also premiere a concert film on August 7 to coincide with the album's release.
