Shampoo - Five Favorites EP (2026)

Jangly melodies and sunshine harmonies that stick. Two months ago we were introduced to New Jersey-based indie trio Shampoo, when they released the wantlist-worthy Don’t Call Me Baby b/w Marble Eyes 7″. These two hits(!) return on the Five Favorites compilation, which features three other early recordings: Forgotten Lane, Nothing Left To Do, and Ding Dong. Although the infectious melodies and golden harmonies are clearly influenced by the girl groups, sunshine pop, and doo-wop of bygone days, these songs are completely original, rocking harder, richer and more jangly. It’s garage pop of the most elusive kind: summery, charming, and almost certainly destined to resurface when the year-end lists come around.
