“Bending Space, Crossing Time” is a groundbreaking album blending history, technical innovation, and global unity. This live recorded, digital-only release merges past and present through the use of Steinway’s Spiriocast to promote peace through art. Featuring Duo Amal – Amal, means “hope” in Arabic – which is made of Israeli and Palestinian pianists Yaron Kohlberg and Bishara Haroni, the recording was performed across two different locations: Bishara played live at Zipper Hall in Los Angeles on the original 1877 Centennial Grand, while Yaron performed in Jerusalem on a Steinway piano equipped with the Spirio system, synced live to the 2023 William E. Steinway Limited Edition piano on stage at Zipper Hall. The album also includes a piece featuring Glenn Gould’s performance, reproduced through the Spirio system – with Bishara playing live on stage alongside the piano legend, on two identical pianos separated by 146 years. This is truly a journey through time and space.
