Antony Szmierek - Decoding Birdsong (2026) [Hi-Res]

Manchester-born poet, musician, and former educator Antony Szmierek (Antony Szmierek) presents his second full-length album, "Decoding Birdsong," arriving eighteen months after his acclaimed debut, "Service Station at the End of the Universe" (2025). Marking a rapid trajectory from working at a special needs college to performing at Glastonbury, appearing on Jools Holland's program, and playing major arenas, Szmierek (Szmierek) expands both the sound and structural scale of his project.

The sonic backdrop merges electronic music (electronic music), dance music (dance music), and spoken word (spoken word). Transitioning from the solo framework of his debut, this release features collaborations with Australian act Pretty Girl, bands Los Bitchos and Imogen and the Knife, Bristol producer 1-800 GIRLS, and indie pop (indie pop) artist Ellur. Conceptually, the record examines themes of coincidence, finding purpose amid isolation, probability, and the philosophy of human perception, juxtaposing observational lyricism with surreal narrative motifs.
