James Ivy - The Seams (2026) [Hi-Res]

The debut studio album The Seams by artist and producer James Ivy serves as the culmination of two years of reflection on his creative process. Departing from the computer-based production techniques seen on his earlier EPs, Good Grief and Everything Perfect, as well as his collaborative project with Roy Blair, American Road, this new record is built upon a philosophy of artistic restraint.

The creative direction for the album involved moving away from digital-heavy workflows in favor of writing on acoustic guitar, allowing the musician to focus on themes of personal growth and navigating creative paralysis. The resulting sound bridges the gap between intimate bedroom pop (bedroom pop) and polished indie pop (indie pop), balancing the impulsive energy of pop music (pop music) with a deeply meditative atmosphere. Released via FADER Label, the project explores the complexities of coming-of-age and emotional friction while maintaining the artist's signature authenticity.
