Ujig - Ujigami (2021)

The debut album by the international collective Ujig.

The band was formed by musicians who met at master classes at Berklee College of Music during the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia. The musicians united to create a European jazz-rock sound with a rich stylistic spectrum.

A dynamic and polyrhythmic contemporary fusion, the album combines complex layers of electric guitar and keyboards with the deep sound of acoustic double bass. The compositions draw influences from classical European jazz, as well as aggressive prog rock riffs and ethnic elements.
