Gretel - Squish (Deluxe) (2026) [Hi-Res]

British alternative artist Gretel has announced her debut full-length album, Squish, set for release on April 10, 2026, via Breadcrumb Records / AWAL. Driven by gothic fairytale aesthetics, themes of girlhood, and resilience, the lead title single traces the transformation of emotional vulnerability into defiance. The album's creation spans five years of personal reflections. After discarding initial versions, Gretel completely rebuilt the record with her band over a five-day live recording session at RAK Studios. Guided by producers Seth Evans and Margo Broom, the group embraced an instinctual, raw sound, shaping a hook-heavy grunge and guitar rock record drawing inspiration from Nirvana, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, and Wolf Alice.
