Pascal Klewer - limerence ensemble (2026) [Hi-Res]

The conceptual music project limerence: love letters, created by a vocalist and trumpeter inspired by time spent in Istanbul and a collaboration with Turkish filmmaker Nadir Sönmez, explores the phenomenon of limerence — an obsessive emotional attachment and longing for an idealized future. Based on intimate love letters, the compositions question conventional relationship norms. To bring this concept to life, an ensemble of Cologne and Berlin scene musicians was assembled, featuring bassist Felix Henkelhausen, harpist Kathrin Pechlof, cellist Elisabeth Coudoux, and vocalists Lina Knörr and Donya Solaimani. Combining three voices, strings, harp, and trumpet, the group crafts a sensitive, intimate acoustic soundscape at the intersection of contemporary jazz, chamber music, and avant-garde.
