Epitaphe - Epitaphe III (2026) [Hi-Res]

French avant-garde outfit EPITAPHE presents their third full-length album III, released via Aesthetic Death and Gurgling Gore. The new work expands the band's artistic framework, combining the uncompromising weight of death metal with intricate progressive metal structures and atmospheric exploration.

The album's soundscape is built around an organic interplay of crushing riffs, delicate acoustic passages, and ambient interludes. A key feature of the arrangements remains the integration of the saxophone, which imparts warmth, depth, and sophistication to the dense instrumentation. Moving beyond simple contrasts between aggression and restraint, the tracks unfold with a fluid narrative progression. The record was engineered by James Leonard and mastered by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios, while the visual design features the painting "Spring Frost" by acclaimed Finnish artist Petri Ala-Maunus.
