Alice Cooper - DaDa (1983)

Released on September 28, 1983, via Warner Bros., the fifteenth studio album by Alice Cooper, titled DaDa, marked the final chapter of a turbulent era in the iconic musician's career. Produced by Bob Ezrin at ESP Studios in Buttonville, Ontario, Canada, the record bridges avant-garde surrealism with elements of hard rock, shock rock, and art rock. At the heart of the narrative framework stands a main character named Sonny, whose severe mental illness manifests in multiple personality disorder, while the album's thematic foundation heavily references the Dada movement, reflected visually in the cover art adapted from Salvador Dalí's painting. Following the release of DaDa, Alice Cooper concluded his long-standing contract with Warner Bros. and initiated a three-year sabbatical from the music industry, eventually recovering his sobriety and returning with new material in 1986.
