KDB3 - The Fifth (2025)

The Fifth (2025) is the fifth full-length album by the American instrumental project KDB3. Released in the fall of 2025, this album established the project as one of the notable independent neo-progressive bands of the 2020s. The Fifth offers a balanced and polished conceptual work focused on melodic composition, rich synth textures, and guitar expression. The record continues the project's evolutionary line, shifting from straightforward fusion rock to deeper, symphonic structures.

On this album, Doug is joined by guitarists Rob Perez and Stu Redd as well as drummer Hayden Welch. There are seven tracks, two of which are instrumental.
