Thomas Quendler & Motion - Continuum (2026) [Hi-Res]

Austrian pianist, composer, and Ö1 Jazz Scholarship recipient Thomas Quendler released his new album Continuum, presented as Jazz Cats of Tomorrow Vol. 4 on the Galileo Music Communication label. The record was produced with his core group Thomas Quendler Motion, featuring saxophonist Maximilian Glanz, guitarist Johannes Mandl, bassist Jakob Gönitzer, and drummer Andreas Reisenhofer.

The release highlights an evolving stage of the artist's creative path, drawing on modern jazz and European jazz traditions. The album's sonic architecture revolves around chamber-like ensemble interplay, lyrical melodic themes, and open jazz improvisation. Fusing Quendler's piano arrangements with melodic saxophone and guitar lines, the quintet crafts open, atmospheric textures that emphasize collective harmony alongside individual solo voices.
